The Fattoria di Casavecchia is set in an area of great tourist and cultural interest with beautiful medieval towns, such as Massa Marittima, San Galgano, San Gimignano, Volterra, Sovana, Pitigliano, and numerous Etruscan and Roman archeological sites, such as Roselle, Populonia and Vetulonia. Siena can be reached in one hour, and beautiful cities such as Florence and Pisa are little more than 100 km away.

The beautiful beaches of the area (at least 18 km away) have a lot to offer: delightful and unspoilt beaches reachable only by foot, or totally equipped resorts such as Punta Ala (30 km) and Castiglione della Pescaia (35 km), two of Italy’s most famous and exclusive seaside villages. Excursions to the islands of Elba and Giglio are also available.

Sports lovers can have access, in the area, to numerous sporting complexes: tennis courts and horse riding stables are just five minutes away by car, and a 18-hole golf course and sailing classes are respectively 15 km and 30 km away; it is also pleasant to go for long walks or bicycle rides, and stop for a swim in the charming Lake of Accesa, just 10 km away. Those wishing to indulge in a more relaxing itinerary can choose to visit the famous Thermal Centres of Petriolo (35 km) and Saturnia (90 km).

Finally, nature lovers will be delighted with Maremma’s wonderful landscapes, admired for centuries by artists and poets, and adored by those who have lived here. In particular, by visiting the Natural Park of Maremma, one can enjoy uncontaminated nature,such as it, s now hard to find.

From Livorno: Take the freeway S.S. 1 Aurelia direction Grosseto-Roma; about 10 km after Follonica exit at Gavorrano Scalo (not Gavorrano) and continue towards Ribolla; after 8 km from the exit on the right (4 km before Ribolla).
From Florence-Siena: Take the freeway S.S. 223 Siena-Grosseto, direction Grosseto; about 30 km after Siena exit at Civitella Marittima and continue towards Roccastrada Ribolla direction Follonica; after Ribolla, direction Massa Marittima-Follonica, 4 km on the left.
