Estate

Country Estate
The 19th century Fattoria di Casavecchia estate is owned by the Marquis Gomez Paloma dell’Olivera family, an old family of Spanish descent who has been present in the region since the second half of the 18th century, when Salvatore was Commander of the Tuscan garrisons and Governor of Orbetello.
The 250 acre farm, set to cereals, sunflowers and olives, is located in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma, immersed in a broad landscape of gently rolling hills; on one of the crests you can still see the ruins of the Castle of Pietra where, in 1295, Pia de’ Tolomei met her death (Dante, Purgatory V).
At the centre of the estate, settled amongst a park of cypresses and pines, is the master’s villa with a large swimming pool (15 m x 7.5 m), which guests are welcome to use. In the villa, three bedrooms with private bathhrooms are also available for Bed and Breakfast use.
In the vicinity can be found five typical stone rural homes, which have been recently restored according to their original features: the apartments, with their antique furniture and refined decoration successfully combine the traditionally charming Maremma atmosphere with modern comforts.
